Anyone know anything about Provigil

I am new to this. I am very frusterated and want too know if there is anyone else out there going through what I am. Maybe someone has found the ansewer. I have been driving for 15 years no accidents not even a fender bender and no tickets. I drive team with my husband coast to coast. I was the chairman award winner for my company last year. I have sleep apnea. Mild sleep apnea. I use a CPAP machine. This years sleep study showed that even with the machine I had excessive day time sleepiness. I am the night driver and not used to waking up before 10 am or going to sleep before 3 am. But the sleep Dr gave me a RX for provigil. He said and I read up on it and it is on the DOT's list of drugs that you can use. I was on disability for High Blood pressure when I went through the study. My Dr has OKed me too go back to work. SO my disability is now finished. But when I went too take the DOT physical the Dr refused to see me. He didn't pass me or fail me. But my company has told me that unless I can get the Dr too take me off of the medication I will be fired.The Dr says this is not an option. SO now I don't quailify for disabilty because I have been cleared too work. Has anyone else had this happen? Does anyone else take Provigil?? Help... Gail[/b]
